Book Club Discussion: ‘Annabel’ by Kathleen Winter
‘OPEN’ Book Club Discussion One Book Nova Scotia 2018 Selection ‘Annabel’ Kathleen Winter
Have you ever experienced the feeling of excitement that comes from discussing a book you’ve enjoyed with others who have read that same book? Imagine the depth of discussion that could develop if everyone in our province read the same title!
That is the aim of One Book Nova Scotia (1BNS), a province-wide community reading event for adults. Nova Scotians are invited to read, discuss, and get excited about the same book.
Check-out a copy of Annabel from your public library and then join us at the McConnell Library for a Book Club discussion.
…‘in 1968, into the spare environment of remote coastal Labrador, a mysterious child is born: a baby who appears to be neither fully boy nor girl, but both at once. Only three people are privy to the secret — the baby’s parents, Jacinta and Treadway, and a trusted neighbour, Thomasina. Together the adults make a difficult decision: to raise the child as a boy named Wayne’.
