Cataloguing Cape Breton: Exploring and recording with iNaturalist
If you use the online biodiversity tool iNaturalist, or want to learn more about it, join Clayton D’Orsay from the Cape Breton Highlands National Park resource monitoring team for an overview of how to use iNaturalist to explore and record Cape Breton nature.
Clayton will cover the pros and cons of the different options to enter and access shared data, as well as what areas and groups need more coverage in Cape Breton.
iNaturalist is an online social network of people sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature. It provides a species identification system and a way to document species occurrence records with a simple phone app.
This is part of an ongoing series of monthly Natural History talks presented by the Cape Breton Regional Library in partnership with the Cape Breton Naturalists Society.
