Cape Breton Regional Library

CBRL KnitFit Community Knit-a-thon

Help keep Cape Bretoners warm by knitting or crocheting items for local charities that provide free clothing for people in our community.  Bring your own project or make something with donated yarn.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the Knit-a-thon by making donations, sponsoring a knitter, coming to the Knit-a-thon to knit or crochet something for charity, or just coming to see what it is all about.

Participants collect pledges or make a donation to support children’s programs at CBRL branches throughout the region. Tax receipts can be issued for donations of $10 or more. The 2020 Pledge Form is available here or at library branches.  Lunch is provided for participants only.

Donations of Yarn and equipment, Knitted or Crocheted items and monetary donations are welcome at all Library branches!

There are active knitting groups at many branches – ask at your local branch if you want to join in on a regular basis.

Note our new times and date – we will start at 9 am and go to 4 pm on Sat March 7th.  (Snowdate: Saturday March 14th, 9 am – 4 pm)
