Sit back, relax, and enjoy a film on the big screen!
Ambitious, highly stylized drama about Japan’s most controversial post-WWII author, playwright, actor, director, and militarist, Yukio Mishima, whose passion to merge life and art led to his ritualistic suicide in 1970. Scenes of Mishima’s life (shot in black and white) are contrasted with vivid dramatizations (in opulent colour) of key fictional works that grappled with his emotional crises. Soundtrack by Philip Glass.
