Folk Art Exhibit by Murray Gallant

Folk Art by local artist Murray Gallant will be on display at the New Waterford Library for the month of February. Everyone is welcome.

New Waterford Library hours: Mondays 1:30-5:30 PM & 7-9 PM; Tuesdays – Thursdays 10 AM -9 PM; Fridays 10 AM -7 PM; Saturdays 10 AM -5 PM

Murray Gallant was born and raised in New Waterford and worked for many years for the town of New Waterford’s Street Dept. He was inspired to try out carving by copying a windmill that his grandfather had made and he hasn’t stopped since – he has been making folk art for over 30 years. His folk art pieces are often humourous and fun. He has showcased his folk art in galleries and businesses locally and also at the Art Gallery of NS and the Lunenburg Folk Art Festival.
