Proof of Full Vaccination Policy at Public Libraries

As the Proof of Full Vaccination Policy comes into effect on Monday, October 4, presenting proof of vaccination will not be required to enter public library buildings or for general library usage (e.g. accessing library materials, using computers).

Individuals age 12 and older must show Proof of Full COVID-19 Vaccination to attend library programs and events. Proof of vaccination is not required for children 11 and younger to participate in programs, provided they are accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult. As stated on the Nova Scotia Government’s website, the Proof of Full Vaccination Policy requires “proof of full vaccination to participate in most events and activities that bring groups of people together.”

Mask wearing will remain in effect in all library branches.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as staff and patrons navigate these changes.
