Searching for a New Storyteller-in-Residence

Are you interested in stories and the importance they have in everyday life? Do you enjoy, or know someone who enjoys, telling stories passed down from past generations? The Cape Breton Regional Library Board is searching for a new Storyteller-in-Residence, to be appointed in June.

At the Cape Breton Regional Library, we  understand and appreciate the importance of stories to the Island community and to residents of all generations. In recognition of this rich oral tradition, the Cape Breton Regional Library Board has running a Storyteller-in-Residence program for the past 8 years.

The term for the Storyteller-in-Residence is two years. The Storyteller-in-Residence will receive an honorarium for events plus approved mileage. A Storyteller-in-Residence Committee will be responsible for reviewing the applications, interviewing and recommending the candidate. The deadline for applications is May 3, 2019.
