As more organizations acknowledge the need for building diverse and inclusive workplaces, company leaders are looking for resources to help them along this path. LinkedIn Learning has several courses which review current thinking and best practices on essential topics such as cultivating a sense of belonging, communicating across cultures, recruiting diverse talent, unconscious bias and more.
A good starting point is Supporting the Whole Self at Work, a Diversity and Inclusion Imperative. In this 30 minute session, you’ll get strategies for making sure your organization “walks the walk” of inclusion by learning more about the struggles of stereotyped groups, as well as how leaders can support the holistic well-being of all their employees.
This theme is continued in the course Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging which emphasizes the need for each individual to be accepted for who they are, i.e. for everyone to feel a sense of belonging.
Diversifying your Team
There are also several courses specific to creating more inclusive hiring practices such as Recruiting Diverse Talent as a Hiring Manager and Uncovering Unconscious Bias in recruiting and interviewing.
