Are you graduating? Here are a few things to add to your summer checklist:

*Access my vaccination records and catch up for free. If you are going into a post-secondary health program, joining the military, or working in a health-related field, you will be required to present your vaccination records and be up to date on all of your vaccines. You can catch up for free until you turn 19.

*Getting the Meningitis B vaccine. Vaccination against meningococcal B infection is not part of your routine childhood vaccinations. If you are moving into a group living situation (residences or military barracks), you should consider getting two doses of the Meningitis B vaccine.

Lego Mindstorms- STEM day-camp

This August, join us to learn more about robotics at our STEM day-camps! Presented by our Digital Literacy Trainer, these sessions will cover robotics,
coding, and more, using the Lego Mindstorms platform to build cool group projects!

This is a two day program intended for kids ages 8-14, but older kids are welcome if interested. Registration is required. Please register below or by calling the Sydney Branch at: 902-562-3161.

Exploring Cultural Roots Through Music: Sing & Shine with Julia Tynes

Join award-winning African Nova Scotian singer-songwriter and entertainer Julia Tynes for an interactive music experience full of singing, learning, and joyful expression—fun for whole family!

With her signature energy and soulful vocals, Julia leads children and families on a musical journey through classics like “Rockin’ Robin,” kid-friendly Motown hits, and today’s pop anthems by artists like Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars. Participants are invited to clap along, move their bodies, and sing out loud as they explore melody, groove, and performance.

This vibrant program introduces audiences to the rich cultural roots of pop through soul, jazz, and rock and roll, while celebrating the lasting contributions of Black artists throughout history. Julia also shares a few of her own original songs and stories, empowering everyone to use their voices and build confidence through music.

Whether you’re a toddler, a tween, or just young at heart, come ready to sing, dance, and shine!
