The Hackmatack Children’s Choice Book Award is a literary program for Grades 4, 5, & 6 in the Atlantic Provinces.
The books are carefully chosen to spark imagination and to illustrate a variety of stories, voices, and cultural experiences for young readers in Atlantic Canada. The shortlist represents great Canadian literature for children published over the last two years.
