Our collections are constantly evolving to respond to the current interests and needs of our community. In recent years we have expanded our Library of Things collection to include more recreational items such as snowshoes and disc golf sets, STEAM Kits, and functional equipment such as Radon detectors and Light Therapy Lamps. We also have a growing collection of assistive tools for persons with print disabilities including DAISY Players, AAC Devices, and Autism Kits.

Our Goal.

Exciting News! Cape Breton Regional Library is pleased to announce that thanks to the generous support of our donors, we have reached our Books and Beyond campaign goal!

Together, many individuals, organizations, businesses, and community partners have helped raise $20,280 for library collections since May 15, 2023.

On behalf of library patrons and staff, THANK YOU! Your generous donations go directly to building our collection of library materials and all contributions stay right here in Cape Breton.

Although we’ve reached our goal, your continued support can help us soar even higher! Your donation will help us continue to expand and enrich our collections and explore new ways to serve our communities.
