Offer a Library Program

Are you a local author with a book to launch? An avid crafter with a skill to share? Or an expert with knowledge relevant to local needs and interests? The Cape Breton Regional Library welcomes program proposals from our community members. If you would like to share your talent and experience with others, please let us know!

CBRL prioritizes programs that complement the goals outlined in our Programs Policy. The principles of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility guide all library program development.

Please note that library programs must be free and open to the public. Authors may sell books at readings and book launch events. Business professionals may provide a business card or contact information to audience members who request it, but cannot advertise their business in the presentation.

While CBRL welcomes all submissions, we are unable to offer every program. All program proposals are evaluated against the Programs Policy, the library’s physical space, and our schedule of events. Due to high volume, CBRL cannot respond to all proposals. We will contact you if a library branch can host your program. Have a question? Email programs@cbrl.ca
