Wordathon Workshop: Beginner Coding

An introduction to Elm programming, a functional programming language. By grouping together simple shapes, and using basic transformations in cartesian coordinates, participants will make creative drawings of words based on the workshop theme. Examples of themes include: household pets, bugs, sports, family tartans, etc.
This workshop is for ages 10-14 and will help introduce and develop skills in computer coding, communication and creative thinking. No coding experience is required!

Laptops will be available for use during the workshop. However, if participants have one to use they are free to bring their own.
