Library Services affected by Canada Post Labour Disruption

Due to the Canada Post Labour Disruption, the following changes to library services are in effect:

Holds

You can only place holds on materials owned by Cape Breton Regional Library. You cannot request any items from other SamePage libraries or any interlibrary loans. Don’t worry CBRL still has an extensive collection spread out across 11 branches and our local delivery drivers will ensure all your holds on CBRL items are delivered.

Overdue Notices

We recommend adding an email address to your library account to ensure you are notified of any long overdue items that should be returned. Please call or visit your local library to add an email address to your account.

Online Card Application

Since we cannot send out new library cards in the mail, new members will have to visit a library branch and complete the application in person. Normally staff can issue the card immediately. All children 13 and under require a parent/guardian to complete the application.
