Plant Medicine Workshop

Join Sakej, a proud Mi’kmaw with the Reclaiming Our Roots organization with years of dedication to empowering youth and advancing food sovereignty, for a land-based workshop exploring the power of plants. We’ll gather to observe samples, share stories, and, if the weather allows, head outside for a plant identification walk around the library.

October is  Mi’kmaq History Month , this year’s theme is A’tukwemk aq A’tukowinu’k – Storytelling and Storytellers.

Stories are central to how Mi’kmaw people teach, learn, and live, carrying laughter, knowledge, and connection across generations. This year’s theme honours both the stories and the storytellers who keep them alive.
