16th Annual Knit-a-thon Fundraiser

Join knitters and crocheters of all skill levels to make items for charity with donated yarn and raise funds for children’s programs at all CBRL branches! Participants may ask friends and family to sponsor their efforts, or make a donation of their own. Enjoy socializing, a light lunch, and a chance to win terrific raffle prizes! Pledge forms are available at each branch and online below.

Check-in is from 10:00am to 10:30am, with the Knit-a-thon running from 10:30am-2:30pm. Knitters and crocheters are welcome to come for all or part of the day. Only those in attendance on the day of the Knit-a-thon are eligible to win prizes. 

All knitted goods are donated to charities that provide free clothes to families in need in Cape Breton and Victoria Counties. These include: Salvation Army, Every Woman’s Centre, Transition House, Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre, Neonatal, and Mother & Baby units, Hospice, Community Homeless Shelter, Northside Community Cares, and Membertou Wellness Centre.
