Arts NS Artists in Communities Workshops | Glace Bay

CBRL has partnered with artist Kristi Farrier to bring you Hand Papermaking in Libraries: Connecting Art, Stories, and Communities! Learn to make paper from your own upcycled textile and create a work of art that tells your story.

Hand papermaker and artist Kristi Farrier makes paper from plants and repurposed textiles and transforms them into beautiful and useful objects. She will teach participants to do the same in two four-hour workshops. All resulting artworks will be displayed in exhibitions in Sydney and Baddeck.

For teens and adults. Registration opens on Wednesday, March 20th. Please call the Baddeck Library at 902-849-8657 to reserve your spot.

Participant FAQs:

  • Participants must commit to both sessions.
  • Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes (floors and surfaces may be wet).
  • Light refreshments will be available.

We acknowledge the support of Arts Nova Scotia.
