Pedometers

pedometer on running shoes

Moving more and walking more can reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke and other illnesses. You don’t need a Fitbit or smart watch to track your activity, a simple pedometer can help you set goals and track your daily steps.

Start by using the pedometer to track your average daily steps before you set a goal. Try increasing your step goal gradually. If you started with 3000 steps a day, add in a few 10-15 minute walks and you will quickly see your steps increase. Wear the pedometer throughout the day, so that no step is uncounted!
