Cape Breton Regional Library locations continue to partner with Nova Scotia Health as community distribution hubs for COVID-19 Rapid Test Kits.
Before you pick up your kit
Please help us ensure a safe experience for everyone.
- Feeling sick or think you are at risk for COVID-19? If yes, please stay home and complete Nova Scotia Health’s self-assessment tool or call 811, and ask a family member or friend to pick up a test kit for you.
- Wearing a mask when picking up your kit is recommended, but not required.
- One kit per person, please, so that the supply can serve as many people in our community as possible.
Limited but regular supplies
Kits are regularly available at the following locations during regular hours of operation:
- Ingonish
- Baddeck
- Sydney (Please use main library entrance on Falmouth St)
- Main-a-Dieu
- Louisbourg
- North Sydney
- New Waterford
- Bookmobile
- Glace Bay
There are multiple tests in each kit. Limit one kit person. Library staff will not take appointments or reserve kits for you. Please do not ask for these special accommodations.
A new supply will arrive regularly and each branch’s stock will fluctuate. When demand is high, we may post updates regarding supply on our social media platforms.
